BSTC

Pistol shooting as a sport has had its beginnings in 1959 in Bloemfontein.  The Bfn Sport Target Club was established in 2003 and is a pistol shooting club which is affiliated to the Bloemfontein Shooting Center.

The range has recently been accredited for the use of HAND GUN, SHOTGUN, RIFLE and HAND MACHINE CARBINE and for the training of Security personnel, Police and Military Personnel. The range is equipped with computer operated turning targets. It is open from Monday to Saturday for members and casual shooters and members normally shoot on Saturday morning. There are internationally recognised competitions for all types of hand guns from .22, 7.65, 9mm .38 Snubbies and longer barrelled .38 Revolvers, .357 Magnum Revolvers, .40 calibre and .45. An experienced instructor is available if required and can instruct male and female shooters on how to improve their shooting skills and how to handle a situation where an intruder is on the property or inside the house and the legal implications of using deadly force.
